If ever there were an example of what Chardonnay has the potential to be in California, this is certainly it. Kevin O’Connor, the former wine director at Wolfgang Puck’s famous LA restaurant, Spago, is co-founder of this incredible winery, which is reinventing the definition of California wine. This fantastic Carneros bottling is completely unoaked and brims with clean, brilliant notes of ripe apple and lemon curd. This is fresh, mouth-filling and just beautiful on the palate.
